It feels like we’ve been inside for 101 days… but that is really what day I’m on with my running streak which started January 6. Who would have thought that by April 15 I’d still be running at least a mile a day outside? What started as my yearly running challenge with our local running store has morphed into one of the only slightly normal pieces left to my life.
Running is just about the only thing I have any control over right now. Life has been shaken and turned upside down – but I’m the one who chooses if I lace up for my mile, or not. And, I’m not going to stop now and ruin my streak. I’m a bit stubborn that way.
Do I feel like running somedays? No. But I do anyway. I don’t want to let myself down. Rain? So what. Wind? You’re just a bit slower. Tired? It will wake you up. Just go run.
I’m not going to stop running. That’s why I’m the Runner Chick.
